John Muraski

Personal Life

I have been a resident of the Village of Howard since 2002, where I live with my wife, Linda. We are proud parents of two Bay Port High School graduates, Alexander (Class of 2018) and Calvin (Class of 2021).

Entrepreneurship and hard work run deep in my family. My grandparents owned the Green Tavern in Suamico. My father was a small business owner and spent his career as an over-the-road truck driver. My mother was an artisan, crafting and selling handmade goods long before online marketplaces existed. Those experiences shaped how I approach leadership: show up, work hard, treat people fairly, and keep your word.

I carried those values into my career, including building and managing a management consulting firm with more than 30 employees and later transitioning into work that supports small businesses, entrepreneurs, and workforce development.

Howard is our home. It is where we raised our family and built lasting relationships. I care deeply about protecting what makes this community special while ensuring Howard continues to thrive.

Professional Background

I bring practical experience in strategy, project management, operations, and innovation developed through decades of private-sector leadership and consulting. Today, I also lead applied initiatives that help organizations improve performance, adopt useful tools, and develop talent.

This work is not about theory. It is about solving real problems, building plans people can execute, and delivering measurable results. Those are the same skills required for village leadership.
